Manila - Manny Pacquiao will again rise to defend the welterweight world title of his WBO version. Who his opponent had not yet determined, but certainly Pacquiao fight on May 7, 2011.
This was revealed by Pacquiao promoter, Bob Arum, who was in the Philippines. Pac Man Who next opponent will be announced on Friday (12/17/2010) coincided with Pacquiao's 32nd birthday.

Initially, Arum plans to stage Pacquiao on April 16. But since that date would clash with the activities of Pacquiao as a Philippine lawmaker, dated May 7, was selected.
"Manny would prefer May 7 because of his schedule as a member of congress and he chose the beginning of May so as not to collide with the work schedule of the congress," said Arum.
For prospective opponent, Arum was eager to pit Pacquiao with Shane Mosley. As for the arena fight, Arum put tax-free states, namely Nevada, Texas or Florida.
